Iceland is the 14th most competitive country in the world according to the report. Switzerland is the most competitive economy in the world followed by Finland, Sweden and Denmark. Norway is in 12th place which means Iceland takes the lowest rank of the Nordic countries. The United States was in first place last year but this year they drop to 6th place. Tsjad, Burundi and Angola are in the bottom. The fifteen top countries are: 1. Switzerland, 2. Finland, 3. Sweden, 4. Denmark, 5. Singapore, 6. United States, 7. Japan, 8. Germany, 9. The Netherlands, 10. United Kingdom, 11. Hong Kong, 12. Norway, 13. Taiwan, 14. Iceland, 15. Israel.
