People of Airwaves: Not drunk enough yet to pick up girls By Kolbeinn Tumi Daðason 7. nóvember 2014 18:31 Kevin and Ben from Seattle. Vísir/Andri Marínó Kevin Velasco from Seattle is visiting his friend Ben Crowe who's studying Icelandic Studies at the University of Iceland. They went to school together back in Seattle and they were having an awesome time when we caught up to them at around 11 PM in Harpa last night. They had been hopping between venues and seen a few bands right on the first night. "It's just we never know the names of the bands," says Kevin while laughing. Further questioning revealed that they had seen Prins Pólo and Kött Grá Pje. "That was the best band, they were very interesting," says Kevin, with Ben agreeing. Kevin has been traveling for the past 3 weeks and hadn't heard about the Airwaves festival. Ben moved to Iceland a couple of months ago, but had bought his Airwaves ticket as soon as he realized that he was going to Iceland to study. They were planning to see FM Belfast last night but they also had their eyes open for cute and entertaining concertgoers of the opposite sex. "I'm still not drunk enough," says Kevin, with Ben adding "All options are open."
